German ambassador to Iran Michael Klor-Berchtold has recently noted the need to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries said.
"Iran's economic situation is potentially strong. The Small Industries Organization and other Iranian organizations continue to be a valuable asset in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises since 2016," he said referring to German federal government's training program for small industries in Iran, Trend reports citing ILNA.
Referring to the dispatch of five groups from Iran to receive the necessary training in the field of industry in Germany, he said that Germany appreciates Iran's willingness and the success of the project.
The ambassador referred to cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade of Iran, as well as the Organization of Small Industries of Iran in the energy and industry sectors during last year.
“Germany is working to promote this cooperation bilaterally. Naturally, the cooperation between various Iranian and German companies can make good partners,” he said.
Klor-Berchtold described the Tehran-Berlin political and economic relations as "widespread”.
“Today, Germany is the largest EU exporter to Iran,” he noted.
Pointing to the withdrawal of the United States from Iran Deal he said that this unilateral withdrawal created a new situation for Iran.
“But I promise you that the German government is committed to JCPOA, because both countries benefit from the deal,” said the ambassador. “We fully adhere to the agreements with Iran, which is why we are here today.”
Referring to the Special Financial Channel (Known as INSTEX) he said that this financial channel was designed to facilitate more business exchange with Iran, which means the sides can trade through a specific banking system.
